About Me

I have worked with children for 7 years in a Children Centre and Montessori Nursery which I loved. As a new journey of life started for myself of becoming a mother I have first hand experience of working with children and having my own. I am a fun, bubbly and chatty person who has always enjoyed working with children. I love to encourage children to use there imagination, going on outings and getting creative with new art skills.

My Family

I have been with my partner for 13 years, we are a very calm and positive family who enjoys spending time with each other.  My partner is a Park Ranger for Hackney Council and has been working with them for 8 years. My partner is very supportive of my chosen career as a childminder. He interacts well with children and is always a good role model for the children he is around. He works shift work so the children will see him from time to time.  My partner has took  Safeguarding Training which was September 2018 and has just completed his First Aid Training November 2018.  My partner will taking more training to become a childminder assistant for emergency events. We have a 6  year old daughter and a  nearly 3 year old son. My daughter is a very kind, loving and caring girl who enjoys creating things. My son is a funny boy who enjoys books and music. My children are very sociable and friendly who enjoy meeting new friends.

COCO the Cat

Included in our family is our Cat who is not even a year old yet. She is very playful, sweet and gentle. All animals are unpredictable and to stay safe I have a pet policy to encourage children to stay safe from ALL animals. Like most cats Coco will be outside most of the time and is just learning to explore the outdoor world.

I believe that children can learn a lot from having contact with animals, however certain procedures will be followed to ensure the safety of the children in my care.

Children must be encouraged to treat all animals, the snails and Coco with respect, learning how to handle them correctly.

Children must wash their hands after any contact with animals and understand the reasoning behind this.

Children must be taught that not all animals are child friendly and should not touch a animal they do not know.

Food for my pet my cat is stored safely away from the children’s reach. Food for the snails is child friendly already as they only eat fruit and vegetables which is kept in the fridge out of children's reach.

Children are always welcome to look after the snails with cleaning and feeding, Children will be encouraged every time to wash there hands after handling them.

A high standard of hygiene is followed, with careful thought given to the placing of the feeding and drink bowls for my cat. This is kept out of children’s reach at all times.

I have ensured my Cat Coco is updated with yearly injections, flea treatment once a month and worming treatment every 3 months.

Coco spends most of her time sleeping and exploring the outdoors so the children will see her now and then.
